Message Monday

Love this, but the "worry less" is going to take some work for me. A great outlook for the new school year! To all you teachers/school staff out there...Have a great year!

Aren't we all a bit of an explorer in our own way?

Message Monday

Something I remind my students of all the time. I'm amazed of how little integrity there is in the world these days.

Message Monday

This rang true today when one of my teaching partners broke down in tears about a family issue. She felt guilty talking about it because she didn't want us to feel bad for her. She said that she shouldn't feel bad because there are people out there that deal with worse. When will we realize that we all have hard times and sometimes it's okay to be vulnerable.

Message Monday

I think it is important to be a childlike once in a while. This I believe is different than being childish. My husband would disagree and say that I never have fun!

Message Monday

I often wonder how many people are in their own way and what the world would be in we just got moving a little.

Here's my little message for the day. I think it's funny, but I've been teaching Algebra for a couple years. Maybe it's only funny to math teachers!

Best Days

quotes and inspiration

What an absolutely magnificent thought. I'm hoping this is the case. I'm nearing 30 in September and I'm thinking that the best is yet to come.

Heading for Sunshine

I admit it! I'm obsessed with quotes. I share a new quote in my classroom every week. Sometimes I even use funny things that the 7th graders say as the quote of the week. One week a student even commented to me and said, "Anything you say can and probably will be used as a quote of the week."

I find quotes charming and uplifting. I like knowing that someone made a grand statement once and others took notice. I'd like to think that I too will have something grand to say. Wishful thinking maybe.

I particularly like this quote because it makes you think about the bigger picture. I think we forget that life is a journey. I know I do. So, enjoy the quote. There will be more to come.

Be Brave

This reminds me of every year being a teacher. It's always hard to say goodbye. I never think I could like the next class as much as the one before and all at once I realize magically I am in love with them.
